Founded in 1961 by the late Mr. John M. Coghill, Coghill Composition is now owned and operated by three of his sons who are always eager to answer your questions and discuss your projects with you.

John H. Coghill, President and General Manager, will most likely be the one you talk to if you call. In addition to management duties, he handles all job pricing and billing, and also assists in job planning and production. He will gladly discuss your project with you and address any concerns you may have. He can give you a firm price quote on any project within a matter of hours.

Jimmy Coghill, Vice President and Production Manager, in addition to overseeing all phases of production, handles much of the formatting and design of books and makes sure you get your job on time.

Billy Coghill assists in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the production process.

Located in Richmond, Virginia, Coghill Composition moved several times over the years to larger and larger facilities as its business has expanded. In 1998, however, we were fortunate enough to acquire a brand new facility, in beautiful, historic Chesterfield County, where we hope to be for years to come. This new facility enables us to provide a  pleasant environment for our employees and allows us to attract the best in the field. Years of typographic experience and skill enable us to produce some of the most complicated work in the industry.
